Yesterday morning after months of hard work investigations and discussions by our school council team I. am so excited to announce that Warranwood PS has been successful in our application to have our student. toilet renovations approved by the Victorian Government I will have more details in the coming weeks to. share with you however the grant has been confirmed and we will be funded to have the project completed. This is extremely exciting and welcome news for our community as we all recognise the toilet upgrades will. make a major difference to our students wellbeing and comfort confidence These upgrades will be fully fund. ed by the grant and will mean we are able to redirect the Spring Fair funds to other projects that require work. This will include an increase to our school s contribution to The Pick My Project grant of 200 000 to supple. ment the extra funds needed for the new engineered retainer wall being installed in November before the new. turf goes down in January or early February The challenges with managing such a large and complex con. struction project are nearly behind us and I must thank Gareth Phillips for his great insight and dedication in. exploring the many complexities that have presented to ensure our project lasts far longer this time than the. last retainer wall did,PREP and STUDENT ENROLMENTS FOR 2020 ENROL NOW. School wide positive behaviour support 9SWPBS is a framework that brings together school communities to develop. positive safe supportive leaving cultures, SWPBS assists schools to improve social emotional behavioural and academic outcomes for children and. young people, When SWPBS is implemented well teachers and students have more time to focus on relationships and. classroom instruction Students and staff benefit from. increased respectful and positive behaviour,increased time focused on instruction. improved social emotional wellbeing, positive and respectful relationships among students and staff. increased adoption of evidence based instructional practices. a predictable learning environment with improved perceptions of safety and increased attendance. SWPBS can be implemented in any school setting to support students from Foundation through to Year 12. The framework supports schools to identify and successfully implement evidence based whole school practic. es to enhance learning outcomes for children and young people. Key Features of SWPBS, Implementation of SWPBS requires commitment by the whole school community particularly from the princi.
pal and leadership group All SWPBS schools implement eight essential features They will.
